Researchers from Indiana University Bloomington have revealed that male-dominated work environment are bad for female health.

Many women are subjected to social isolation, performance pressures, and sexual harassment.

Researchers have stated that exposure to such atmosphere could cause vulnerability to disease, as well as the possibility of an early death.

A doctoral student in sociology, Bianca Manago said, “We find that such women are more likely to experience exposure to high levels of interpersonal, workplace stressors. Women in male-dominated occupations have less healthy or ‘dysregulated’ patterns of cortisol throughout the day.”
