Indian teenager Arjun Maini joins Haas F1 team

Indian teenager Arjun Maini has joined the US-owned Haas Formula One team as a development driver alongside 18-year-old American Santino Ferrucci. Born and brought up in Bengaluru, the 19-year-old won the Force India team's `One in a Billion' Indian driver talent competition in 2011, which led to a season of karting in Europe. He is currently competing in the GP3 support series. “All of my racing to date has been with the focus of becoming a Formula One driver, and this opportunity puts me one step closer to my goal,” he said at the Spanish GP. “I am eager to learn and experience how a F1team operates.”
