In a first of its kind, East Bengal Football Club from West Bengal, India has launched its merchandise in London at a socio-cultural Indian classical and Bengali Folk event 'Fagun Fest' organised by London Sharad Utsav and Bengal Heritage Foundation at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London on 17thFebruary. Present in the launch were legendary football player of yesteryear – Chima Okorie and Debashis Golder, head of Air India, UK.

Anirban Mukhopadhyay, President of London Sharad Utsav and an ardent East Bengal football fan said,“This is a proud moment for Indian football which has walked the extra mile to go global. This is just a starting point and there is more to be done to take Indian football to the next level with support from club fans across the globe. Being able to flaunt this red-yellow jersey adds on to the enjoyment for all East Bengal fans like me.”
