1) Which place or city or country do you most feel at home in?

As a banker, I have travelled and lived in many cities and countries. However, by heart I still remain an Indian and that is my home.

2) What are your proudest achievements?

I have been able to set many benchmarks and won many laurels during my career as a banker. However, these achievements can not be considered as something great. The achievements which gives satisfaction, which creates a feeling of pleasantness in one’s consciousness are the real achievements. However, over a period of time, I have been able to contribute some of my time and energy towards few activities related to the upliftment of poor and their education and these have given me immense satisfaction.

3) What inspires you?

Observing the goodness in each and every human being inspires me.

4) What has been the biggest obstacle in your career?

I can not identify major obstacles in my career. Perhaps, I could have done better by putting in more efforts.

5) Who has been the biggest influence on your career to date?

In a career spanning over 40 years, I had occasion to work with various individuals. Each had different and unique style of functioning and their own brand of leadership and management style. I have been able to pick up the best from each individual and implemented to a large extent but perhaps the biggest influence has been my Guru with whose precepts I have been able to contribute for the society through my job and also strike a healthy work life balance.

6) What is the best aspect about your current role?

Meeting people with diverse background, diverse services, different nations and learning new things.

7) And the Worst?

None

8) What are your long term goals?

I will be retiring from my present job in near future. I have identified various activities to pursue which I was not able to do earlier because of the job pressures. These includes more involvement in social work, reading, travelling etc.

9) If you were Prime Minister, what one aspect would you change?

I am a fan of Mr. Narendra Modi and his programme for the upliftment of India as well as poor people in India. Though stepping in his shoes would be a big dream come true, I would also like to put equal impetus for unemployment.

10) If you were marooned in a desert island, which historical figure would you like to spend your time with and why?

Many a times I have wished to be on the golden crescent of the Himalayas sitting in front of Sage and listening to him imparting wisdom and knowledge of our old scriptures . I would wish the same, if I was marooned on a desert island and would wish to hear the great knowledge of wisdom directly from the great Sage Ved Muni Vyasa who has compiled all the Vedas and Puranas.
