Europe – Burning

Over the past decade I have written several pieces that reflected on what Europe was doing with its appeasement politics, and the ramifications of those in years to come. I did say that in Europe we will witness rioting, looting and streets on fire. This week we have seen the start of that madness in France.

The trigger for this breach of law was the death of a 17-year-old Algerian boy called Nahel M, killed by a French police officer. Nahel was shot under circumstances currently being investigated. The police officer is also in custody pending a full investigation. In any normal law-abiding society, the most you would expect is a peaceful protest by affected people to express their grief and to demand an investigation. However, what transpired over the past five days in France is nothing short of criminality right across the nation. France is now gripped in a cycle of violence, looting, criminal damage, loss of security and peace on its streets.

At the last count, more than 45000 police officers were on high level alert to control the streets. Some 700 arrests have been made, though one could argue that if they rounded up all the miscreants, this figure would easily be in the thousands. The madness has also affected places like Marseille, Lyon and Grenoble.

In one of the most recent incidents, home of the mayor of L'Haÿ-les-Roses was attacked. The hooligans actually attacked his wife and children. Mayor Jeanbrun said, “it was an attempt at murder of incalculable cowardice".

I was left wondering, how on earth can anyone excuse such behaviour? Yes, we all know a young man has died. We also know an investigation is underway and that one officer is under custody. Pending an outcome through the legal process, how can anyone excuse such madness that ends up affecting tens of thousands of people right across France? The answer is simple, there are no excuses for these barbarians. These are criminals who don’t care a damn for Nahel M. Their only objective is to create anarchy, to loot and instil fear in ordinary law-abiding citizens.

Let’s be clear, the rioters were not only Islamists, but they also included other immigrant communities, and of course white leftie wokes who saw the opportunity to further their agenda. A bit like what we witnessed with Black Lives Matter (BLM) in the UK. They didn’t care about real black lives, most of them were just hooligans intent on creating chaos by perpetrating violence, and in looting.

Last year the far-right leader Marie Le Pen secured 23.2% of the popular vote compared with Emmanuel Macron with 27.9% who went on to become their President. Imagine, almost quarter of the French population voted for a far-right party leader to be their President! I should not be too surprised if we witness France getting a far-right leader elected in the years to come. Directly as a result of this madness on their streets. When a society and its politicians appease to extremists, and it goes horribly wrong as we have seen, don’t be too surprised if the ordinary people end up voting for the far right.

Recently Italy voted in Giorgia Meloni who is also from their equivalent of a far-right political party. Nations like Austria, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands and even Germany will soon witness their own uprising and their streets will burn also.

In the UK there is a sudden interest in the Labour Party led by Keir Starmer. It is also knee deep in appeasement politics with many of its politicians openly venting anti-Jewish, anti-India, and anti-Hindu rhetoric. Can you imagine what will be the state of this nation should Labour ever get back in power? What we witnessed with BLM will pale into insignificance.

With more than 800 fires right across France, it burns today, tomorrow it will be the turn of Europe. I say to you all, watch this space. Europe is on the verge of anarchy if it continues to appease to extremists and pampers to its own wokeism. If you push the silent majority too far, don’t be too surprised if we see them stand up and fight back.

In the UK decent people rejected the far right, it’s now time to reject the mad violent racism of the lunatics on the left, and their woke partners.
