A court has found that Nurofen, one of the UK's biggest painkiller brands, uses identical ingredients in pills which claims to tackle different ailments, such as period pains, migraines, tension headaches and back pain. Experts have been prompted to inform patients of the identical ingredients and warn them that they are paying extra money for medicines for specific pains.
The targeted medication, which are more expensive, are said to be different from the standard Nurofen pills as they have salts in the ingredient, which breaks down more quickly in the digestive system and provides faster pain relief.
