For the past two years he has also been holding them at his new buffet restaurant Chef & Spice in Hinckley Road, West End, Leicester.
The total raised at his businesses recently passed £200,000 and he has set a new target of reaching £500,000 in the next five years.
Rahman said: "I can't believe we've reached £200,000 and I'm pleased so many people have come forward to organise these events with me. At the moment we're holding four events a month at Chef & Spice and two a month at Cuisine of India so were on course to reach the new target by 2020."
Members of the public organise the nights, inviting family and friends to dine at the restaurants and at least half the money paid for the food goes straight to the organiser's chosen charity.
Syed's events at Chef & Spice all pass on 60 per cent of the takings on to the charities but despite making a loss on the charity evenings he said he was happy to be giving back to the community.
Charities helped recently include Loros, Menphys, Cancer Research UK, Mind, Rainbows Children's Trust and the air ambulance.
