The 27-year-old man, whose details have not been released by police, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being over the legal alcohol limit.
Mr Thaliwal, pictured, died in hospital after his car was involved in a collision with the charged man’s car on the A6 near Mountsorrel on Saturday, September 6.
The driver is due to appear at Loughborough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 1.
