Aditi Chauhan, the first Indian female goalie in Britain, playing for West Ham United, has graduated from Loughborough University last week.
Her support team and Change.org in India has been able to rope in over 10,000 supporters for this petition but unfortunately, no one from the Indian government has come ahead to support her. The truth remains that the battle is yet to be won. The team is seeking advises on how Aditi could lawfully continue her playing career in UK, and seeking support of the government and have approached the Home Affairs Committee Chair, Rt Hon Keith Vaz, MP for help.
The team told Asian Voice, “I request you to continue sharing the petition with as many people as you can and try garnering as much support for Aditi as possible. After all, ‘Football’ and ‘Woman’ do not go hand in hand in India and it would be a shame if we let go of this opportunity to change that fact. We want to share this update with all those who have/will be signing the petition."
