On Friday 16 August 2024, Navnat Vadil Mandal celebrated India's Independence Day with great enthusiasm at the Navnat Hall, which was transformed into a tricolor spectacle for the occasion. The Chief Guest, CB Patel, shared the fond memories of the establishment of Navnat. He reminisced about a time when, at his Edgware residence, prominent figures like Pranalal Seth, Navneet Seth, JJ Mehta, Vinod Udani, Pankaj Vora, and others gathered to discuss the creation of Navnat.

In his speech, CB praised the Navnat community for their ingenuity, organisation, and administration, noting that the vast building, spread over 18 acres with ample parking, has become a hub  for hosting social, cultural, and religious events.

The programme began promptly at 11:30 am with prayers led by Navnat President Jashwant Doshi, Vadil Mandal President Natubhai Shah and CB. Following the prayers, Vadil Mandal Secretary Nitin Savadia invited President Natubhai to extend a warm welcome to all attendees.

The event was expertly coordinated by Bansri Rupani and Jagdish Sangani, who ensured everything ran smoothly. The musical group, Marina and Melody Express, featuring singers Marina, Sujata, and Anjan, infused the atmosphere with patriotism through melodious patriotic songs, culminating in the Indian and British national anthems. A grand tribute was paid to India's martyrs, with CB leading a tricolor parade in the hall. Renowned choreographer Kalpana Bhatt further elevated the patriotic spirit by involving everyone in a dance celebration of the Tricolor.

After enjoying a delicious meal prepared by the Navnat kitchen committee, the second phase of the programme commenced. Jagdishbhai and Meena Sangani had beautifully decorated the hall, transforming it into a mini India for the day. The event was sponsored by Dr Suresh Parikh and his family in memory of his late wife, Mira, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the celebration.
