Nagrecha Charitable Trust organised a special musical event- Badi Door Se Aaye Hain on 1 October 2023 at Hariben Bachubhai Nagrecha Hall, Leyton Road. Apart from the melodious songs, the event witnessed a remarkable donation of £100,000 to the NHS for medical research and development of treatments.
CB Patel, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar was the chief guest at the event. The cheque for £100,000 was handed over to the NHS team by CB. Professor Jamshed Bomanji, Clinical Lead and head of the Clinical Department, Institute of Nuclear Medicine, at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust along with Dr Voo and Dr Reid were present to receive the cheque.
Vinodrai Bachubhai Nagrecha popularly known in the community as Vinubhai said, “We always make every possible effort to strengthen our culture, community and the Nation we live in. NHS staff work very hard for us. It is our duty to support the support system of the Nation.”
CB Patel said, “Vinubhai, Hasubhai and Umiben are very unique people. In this country, I know many people but they are the only people who have the Temple of their mother and father. This is not common; this is very important for our children; they should remember what is heritage. People make money but the important part is how to use money for the betterment of society. They know how to make money, how to respect parents and how to spend money. At the time of Diwali, many people will be inspired to do more spiritual and philanthropic work. £100,000 is a big amount and will give a boost to the gigantic efforts of the NHS.”
Well-known singer Abhijit Rao who is also called the voice of Rafi, Veda Nellan known as the voice of Lata and versatile singer Mitali Nag presented Bollywood songs and bhajans. The hall was packed with more than 800 people as audience and the melodious songs connected them with the golden era taking them down the memory lane.
Shri Shirdi Saibaba Temple’s main priest Dilip Sulakhe Ji Maharaj was especially present on this occasion.
