Birmingham: Police have launched an appeal for a 70 year old missing Brit-Bangladeshi woman from Aston, who left home in Clifton Close on Sunday afternoon to visit a friend, but never arrived on the property.

Konurun Nessa is described as a very slim woman, around 5'3" and has very long straight grey hair with brown eyes.

At the time of her disappearance, the pensioner is believed to have been wearing sandals, a black and white polka dot headscarf and a white sari with multi-coloured dots. Mrs Nessa, who has never been missing before, speaks only Bengali and no English.

So far there has been reportedly three sightings of her near the Drum Arts Centre on Potters Lane and Yellow Park, both in Aston. As part of their inquiries, officers have searched a number of properties and spoken to her family and friends who have also been searching. Local hospitals and other police forces have been alerted to her disappearance.

Anyone who has seen Mrs Nessa should call 101 immediately.
