New research into the economic impact and potential of Birmingham Airport has been published. The 40-page report, ‘The West Midlands Aviation Opportunity’, was officially unveiled at a breakfast event in Birmingham last Friday.
In 2014, aviation connectivity delivered £1.1 billion across the regional economy and over 25,000 jobs, according to the research.
The two-hour event featured a discussion with panellists Andy Street, Chair of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP, Paul Kehoe, pictured, CEO of Birmingham Airport, Paul Faulkner, CEO of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and report author James Brass.
