Yasin Kanamia (34) sent the woman a menacing letter - extracts from which can be read below - demanding she withdraw her complaint, and pledging to “ruin and destroy” her if she did not.
Leicester Crown Court was told the victim was physically sick and scared, but was made of “sterner stuff” and reported Kanamia’s threats.
Kanamia, a business management graduate, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice in April 2013 by sending a letter and a memory card containing explicit images of the woman, and threatening to disclose the contents of the card unless she withdrew a complaint of harassment against him.
He was sentenced to an 18 month jail term, suspended for two years, with supervision, and a requirement to attend 40 sessions of a building better relationships programme.
Kanamia, of Wilson Street, Spinney Hills, Leicester, was also ordered to pay £1,500 costs.
