A betrayed husband who stabbed his wife to death after discovering her lover at their home has been jailed.
Azad Singh has been jailed for life after being convicted of the murder of Kulwinder Kaur.
The 46-year-old stabbed the mother-of-two after discovering her with the man at their flat, in Willenhall, on January 18.
Singh made a 999 call to reveal he had just killed his wife and also left his wife’s companion with head and facial injuries.
The companion was able to flee the property at The Pinnacle, Gomer Street, as officers rushed to the scene and arrested Singh in the car park. He was found with a large kitchen knife in his jacket and with blood on his hands.
A post mortem examination revealed that Mrs Kaur suffered a fatal wound to the neck after being stabbed three times.
Singh - who admitted killing his 40 year-old wife to a friend - had denied murder claiming he had lost his self-control after his wife had taunted him about his sexual prowess - a claim later rejected by the trial Judge.
But he was convicted last Wednesday following a seven day trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to wounding of the 40 year-old man who had been in the flat with Mrs Kaur at the time during a previous hearing. He was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum 14 years.
