The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip's sense of humour and wit has seemed to amuse many.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh had visited Barking and Dagenham as part of the London borough's 50th anniversary. A trustee if the Chadwell Heath Community Centre, Nusrat Zamir (35), was subjected to the Prince's wit.

Nusrat Zamir is also the founder of the Chadwell Heath Community Centre. She stated, “The Duke said to us, 'Who do you sponge off?' We're all married so it's our husbands. He was just teasing and it's similar to what I call my husband- 'the wallet'.”

Zamir had also presented the Queen with iced sponge cake. She added, “He also said to us, 'Do you meet to have a gossip?'”
