Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries, Commerce & IT, KT Rama Rao, pitched Telangana as an ideal investment destination at an investment roundtable at India House hosted by HE Vikram K. Doraiswami, the Indian High Commissioner in the UK.
The round table was attended by potential investors from various industries.
The Minister’s presentation showcased the remarkable growth of Telangana in the last nine years, highlighting its progress in addressing basic issues and prioritising innovation, and infrastructure creation. He emphasised that Telangana's economy is growing at a brisk pace with tremendous growth in both agriculture and IT. At the same time, rapid industrialisation and improvement in green cover was witnessed, he added.
During his address, HE Vikram K. Doraiswami highlighted ample collaboration opportunities available in sectors such as heavy machinery, aviation and defence, entertainment, and education. He praised Hyderabad for its world-class infrastructure and its multicultural environment, making it a perfect destination for investors.
Mr Doraiswami emphasised the importance of nurturing partnerships and celebrating investments.
Lord Karan Bilimoria, present at the event, commended the remarkable achievements of Telangana during the investment roundtable.
Minister Rao also met the members of Indian Journalists’ Association and talked about the state’s development and Karnataka election. He was welcomed by members of diaspora at the London Heathrow Airport. He attended the India Week and visited Ambedkar House in London before departing.
