The Mayor of London Boris Johnson was greeted with a cheer, as he opened an egg free cakeshop in Streatfield Road, Harrow on last Friday.
He was reportedly led by director Roy Chamdal, through a series of selfie takers to cut the ribbon with Harrow MP Bob Blackman. There were many people who were waiting on the streets of harrow for hours hoping to catch a glimpse of the Mayor.
The Harrow Times reported that Mr Johnson said: “What an exciting moment this is. When I was a young boy, my mother gave me an egg to eat every day. In the end, I could not take it anymore.
“My very first decision was – no more eggs. You don’t need eggs. And this is the most eggstraordinary, eggsellent cake shop in London.”
