Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar are proud to be the official Media Partner for St Luke's Hospice's upcoming Winter Charity Ball, on Saturday 28th November. Guests will be entertained in the evening with close-up magic, music, dancing and a delicious three course meal.
St Luke’s Hospice provides care to enable people an incurable illness to access the care they need to live well, to know that their family and carers are supported, and to die with dignity in the place of their choice. The son of a patient cared for in St Luke’s In Patient Department had this to say about their care:
"From the first day she came in they know what mum liked and how to make her comfortable. She felt like she was being cared for by her own family and not just doctors and nurses. She interacted with them well and although she didn’t speak much English she was able to make herself understood. A few days after mum arrived she kept asking me when I was going to take her to the Kenton Temple. I spoke to the staff and they immediately arranged for a wheelchair for her – I took mum and she loved it."
Sushil Radia, Trustee for St Luke’s Hospice said, "We are pleased to be holding our annual Winter Ball at The Drum, with amazing views over the stadium. Thanks to the support of the local community, St Luke’s can continue to offer free end of life care in Harrow and Brent. We rely on the generosity of our communities for over 70% of our funding. It is guaranteed to be a brilliant night out and a chance to have fun and support the hospice."
Hari Aum Holidays of Northwest London are proud to be sponsors of the event and will be attending the ball with friends and family and donating travel vouchers to be raffled. Harish Gohill, Chief Executive of Hari Aum is pictured here on a recent visit to the hospice .
