London: According to a major study conducted by researchers at the London School of Economics and Political Science, a half-hour brisk walk can be more effective in reducing your weight, compared to other forms of exercise, such as swimming, working out at the gym, or even running.

The study showed that the effect of brisk walking was particularly strong for women of all women, who lost 4.3 cm (1.7 in) off their waist.

Dr Grace Lordan led the research. She said, “When it comes to walking, you can’t really be doing it wrong. You need to be out of breath and slightly red in the face."
