Daaji returns to the United Kingdom after a decade

Leading spiritual organization Heartfulness and its esteemed Global Guide, known as Daaji makes his highly anticipated return to the United Kingdom after a decade. Scheduled from 16th to 22nd May 2024, this visit will mark a significant milestone as Daaji reunites with UK audiences.

To kick off the series of events, Heartfulness and Daaji will host a Masterclass in Meditation at the InterContinental London – The O2 on Saturday, 18th May, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Open to the public at no cost, this session will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to learn from Daaji himself about the transformative benefits of Heartfulness meditation. With over 3000 participants expected from the UK and Europe, including distinguished dignitaries, this event promises to be enlightening and inspiring. The theme of this event is “Empowering Humanity Through Meditation”.  This event is free of charge. Another remarkable event will be on 20 May 2024, Monday at the House of Lords, UK Parliament Palace of Westminster. The select guests’ event- “In Conversation with Daaji” is organised by Gujarat Samachar and Asian Voice. It will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of the Heartfulness Way directly from Daaji. This event will have an interfaith dialogue to promote harmony and unity through Heartfulness Meditation. The Commonwealth Secretary-General, the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC will moderate the Fireside Chat.

 Recognised globally for his contributions, Daaji, a recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan award in India, has recently been appointed as the Global Ambassador for Peacebuilding and Faith to the Commonwealth by Rt Hon. Patricia Scotland, KC, Commonwealth Secretary-General. In acknowledgement of his lifetime dedication to humanity and noteworthy efforts in education, wellness, and environmental initiatives through Heartfulness, Daaji will be honoured with the esteemed Freedom of the City Award by the City of London during his visit.

Expressing his gratitude, Daaji stated, “I am delighted to reconnect with the United Kingdom and accept the Freedom of the City Award. This recognition is an honour. Now more than ever, unity and harmony are important. Meditation serves as an important means to bring the world together.”

During his stay, Daaji will engage with esteemed local leaders, including signing a special Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth Secretariat, delivering a speech at the 22nd Commonwealth Education Ministers Conference at Marlborough House, engaging with Members of Parliament and esteemed members of society at the House of Lords, and meeting with practitioners of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha at the Neasden Temple in London. Daaji will also meet the founders of The Unity of Faiths Foundation (TUFF) a British NGO that works on 4 continents worldwide to start a mutual partnership in delivering humanity projects.

“India is the mother of spirituality and democracy” says President Murmu at Global Spirituality Mahotsav in Kanha Shanti Vanam

~ Spiritual Gurus dwelled on ideas of inner peace, togetherness and global harmony

Smt. Droupadi Murmu - Hon’ble President of India graced the spirituality congregation ‘Global Spirituality Mahotsav’ taking place at Kanha Shanti Vanam – the headquarters of Heartfulness on 15 March 2024.

The four-day spirituality summit brought by the Ministry of Culture and Heartfulness is unique in that it has brought together the spirituality gurus of all faiths and communities together at one platform to raise the collective human consciousness together. The summit is themed at "Inner Peace to World Peace". The conference aims to bring interfaith dialogues and help people of every age and every walk of life connect with spirituality in daily life. Anthem song for Global Spirituality Mahotsav titled  ‘Inner Peace to World Peace’ was launched during the summit. 

A panel discussion on ‘Inner Peace to World Peace’ witnessed meaningful thoughts coming from noted panelists viz., Ranjana Chopra, Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Culture; Gaur Gopal Das (ISKCON); Swami Atmapriyananda (Ramakrishna Mission); Sister Usha Behn (BrahmaKumaris); HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji (Shri Vaishnavism); and Sh. Kamlesh D Patel (Daaji) Global Guide of Heartfulness.

A second panel discussion on ‘Spirituality in Daily Lives’ by Jt. Secy. Smt. Amita Prasad Sarabhai, Ministry of Culture (Performing Arts); Swami Gita Govind Giriji Maharaj (Gita Parivar); Sadhvi Shilapi Ji Maharaj (Veerayatan); Pujya Bhaishree Ramesh Bhai Oza (Raj Chandra Mission); Yogi Nath J (Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan) + Experiential demonstration by Warkari groups; Dr. Jayanti Ravi (Auroville Foundation);  Master G Shri Rajesh Kamra and Rt. The summit hosted various panel discussions, cultural programs associated with spirituality, an exhibition showcasing India’s spiritual history, narratives of peace, and an immersive experience for spirituality through books and music. There were also panchakarma centres set up for those who want to avail wellness and therapeutic sessions. The role of eminent people from film, music, and sports in sensitizing people to who partook in the Global Spirituality Mahotsav is also being appreciated. 

Hon’ble Commonwealth Secretary-General confers the title of Global Ambassador of Peacebuilding and Faith in the Commonwealth upon Daaji

Daaji – Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission has been conferred with the honour of 'Global Ambassador of Peacebuilding and Faith in the Commonwealth' by the Commonwealth Secretariat. Hon'ble Commonwealth Secretary General Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland conferred the prestigious honour upon Daaji. The honour was presented jointly by Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland and Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankar at Kanha Shanti Vanam on 17th March 2024.
