The coronavirus outbreak is the greatest global health emergency and community organisations have stepped to the mantle to deliver essential food supplies to the vulnerable and elderly.

Dipen of Dips Foods, Rupal of DNS Accountants and Oshwal Assoication of the U.K (OAUK) have teamed up to provide free hot/cold meals, snacks, savouries, fruits and soft drinks.

Their main aim is to support the isolated, vulnerable, elderly and the NHS staff at hospitals and hospices during this pandemic.

“We started by providing food to one hospital followed by food to the elderly people from March. We then uploaded some pictures on Facebook and started getting messages which inspired us even more to carry on delivering food.

“We are always in regular contact with the NHS staff and the vulnerable, elderly to understand their requirements. The feedback we receive from them is valuable as we get an idea on what is required by them. We are honored and privileged to be able to support these people during this difficult time.

“We would like to thank all NHS Staff for all the wonderful work you are doing. We would like to also thank everybody who has donated towards this cause. If you would like to donate and support this cause please get in touch with us,” the organisers said in a statement.
