Britain's most senior Muslim police chief, Commander Mak Chishty, has said that children as young as five are being aimed by Islamist indoctrination.
Commander Chishty, of Scotland Yard, is calling for escalated monitoring to recognise the earliest signs of anti-western attitude among Muslim children.
He said that it was crucial to “move into the private space” of Muslims to root out early radicalisation.
Chishty believes young children are expressing hostility to Christmas by labelling it as “haram”, or forbidden by Islam. Some young people are also snubbing certain shops, such as Marks & Spencer out of the erroneous assumption that it is Jewish-owned.
