Sainsbury's and Dixon Carphone, as well as many other British companies have been given excruciating amount of taxpayer's money to install energy-efficient lightbulbs, as a quest to avoid a towering power crunch.
Department of Energy and Climate Change documents show that Sainsbury's was given over £830,000.
Jonathan Isaby, of the Tax-Payers' Alliance, stated that it did not appear to be “money well spent”.
