Alleged "up to eight" British jihadist in Britain to carry out attack

There have been new claims that as many as eight British jihadists are in the UK, waiting to carry out an act of terror.

It is said that around “four or five” received bomb and gun attacks training in Iraq and Syria, and have now returned to Britain to commit barbaric terror attacks.

In addition, a further three extremists were radicalised in the UK and also allegedly preparing for an attack.

These claims have been made by Sky News, which used an undercover journalist to use Twitter and instant messaging apps to contact jihadists in Syria.

Two such jihadists that got in touch with the undercover journalist was, 21-year-old Junaid Hussain, previously a hacker from Birmingham, who now runs the IS information and recruitment arm from Syria. The second jihadist was Hussain's wife, Sally Jones, from Kent, who is now in Syria, working with Hussain in Raqqa.

Jones conversed with the journalist through encrypted messaging sites, believing she was talking to an 18-year-old teenager. Jones explained that she could teach her how to make bombs. She also mentioned that there was another potential bomber in Scotland and two other, who had so far failed to make an attack.

It is also alleged that Jones had claimed that VJ (Victory over Japan) commemorations, which involves the Queen and the Royal Family were a target.

However, the police have requested people to attend the VJ commemorations as normal. There have been no arrests of counter terror in connections to the alleged prospective attack.
