Sweden: According to a new study by Lund University, in Sweden, people who are at risk of diabetes have to work much harder than their peers in order to get the benefits of exercise.

It was found that those who had immediate relatives, such as a mother or father with type 2 diabetes, were three times more likely of developing the same.

The study conducted by the Swedish university, analysed 50 unfit but healthy men in their 40s, where they exercise regularly for seven months as a fitness centre.

The results showed that all the men lost weight, however, the 25 men who were at risk of diabetes had to exercise more and attended more sessions compared to the other participants, in order to achieve the same levels of fitness.
