Dubai Crown Prince fulfils wish of 7-year-old Indian boy with cancer

Dubai: It was a dream come true for seven-year-old Abdullah when Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai met the Indian boy battling stage three cancer, in Dubai. The Hyderabad boy was elated to meet his idol whom he had only seen in YouTube videos and wished to meet in person. After meeting his ardent fan, Sheikh Hamdan posted a picture of him hugging Abdullah, posing in a kandoura. He wrote, “Met this courageous boy today”.

Appreciating this grand gesture by Sheikh Hamdan in granting the wish of this boy who suffers from the life threatening disease, Consul General of India Vipul expressed his gratitude saying, “it is indeed a great and gracious gesture on the part of the Crown Prince of Dubai to fulfill the wish of his little fan, which also signifies strong bilateral ties and people to people connect between India and UAE.”

In a video, the little boy can be seen saying that the Dubai Crown Prince’s “adventurous streak and his humble demeanour are what inspire him”. “I like Sheikh Hamdan because he is cool, adventurous and kind. I want to meet his pets and want to see his clothes. He is good and always helps people. He is an all-rounder. He is first in all activities. He is intelligent, smart and a genius.”

He keeps his fans posted about his adventures and travels across the globe. He is also a nature lover and posts videos that show him bonding with animals or rescuing them. With over 9.6 million followers on Instagram, Sheikh Hamdan’s account (faz3) is one of the most followed ones on the social networking platform.
