Abu Dhabi: The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi hosted an inspiring celebration on Sunday, marking the birth anniversaries of Bhagwan Shri Ram and Shri Swaminarayan. Tens of thousands of people visited the mandir this weekend to take part in the celebrations.
According to Brahmavihari Swami, the lead sadhu of the Mandir, the day featured a vibrant series of devotional and cultural events. Youth performers from the community presented dramatizations and traditional dances that depicted the inspiring life and values of Bhagwan Shri Ram.
Devotees and well-wishers residing in the UAE participated in this special occasion. The day’s events included: Devotional Ram bhajans and the celebration of Shri Ram Janmotsav; Shri Ram Janmotsav Aarti; Cultural presentations on the Mandir’s Ganga Ghat, which is uniquely designed to reflect the spiritual confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers; Special assembly and celebration of Shri Ram Janmotsav.
In addition, the birth celebration of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan was commemorated with a special evening assembly and the Shri Hari Janmotsav Aarti.
These festivities in Abu Dhabi were part of a global celebration across all BAPS Mandirs in India and around the world, honouring Ram Janmotsav and Swaminarayan Jayanti with devotion, music, and spiritual reflection.
Carney joins Ram Navami celebrations in Toronto
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joined members of the Hindu community at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Toronto to mark the first day of Ram Navami celebrations. Carney shared a message on social media following his visit: “Joined Hindu community members at the @BAPS_Toronto Mandir yesterday for the first day of Ram Navami celebrations. Thank you for sharing your traditions and culture with me. Happy Ram Navami!”
