Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has asked officials to take steps and recognise all orphan children in the region as 'State Children', adding that of those who passed class 10, should be admitted into residential schools for Intermediate study. As the government has already declared that it will be the guardian of orphaned children, it owed the responsibility of their upbringing, security, education and self sufficiency. The government had to keep special focus on them, Rao said at a meeting to discuss KG to PG education and related issues. He also sought steps to make degree education more efficient and orient it to employment creation by appointing lecturers. The degree courses would be redesigned after assessing job opportunities in private and government sectors.
