CHENNAI: The fire-ravaged Chennai Silks building is being demolished. Deputy Director, TN Fire and Rescue Services said the Public Works Department and Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority will also be involved in the demolition work. “Eighty five men are currently working. We have to demolish the structure level-by-level. It will take some days to complete the demolition. It is a slow process. Level one and two are being demolished now. It will be filled up with debris and then we will continue it with other levels,” she added.
