Nearly four weeks after a low-intensity explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru left nine people injured, National Investigation Agency sleuths arrested a co-conspirator for providing logistical support in the case. “Muzammil Shareef was picked up and placed in custody after NIA cracked down at 18 locations - 12 in Karnataka, five in Tamil Nadu and one in Uttar Pradesh. We had earlier identified the main accused as Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain from Thirthahalli, Shivamogga district, who had planted the bomb and carried out the blast,” NIA said in a release. Abdul Matheen Taha, also from Thirthahalli, has also been identified as a conspirator. “Both men are on the run,” the release stated. Both are wanted in other terror-related cases linked to Al-Hind Karnataka module. Hussain and Taha were suspected to be the possible handlers of the Nov 2022 cooker blast in Mangaluru.
