Shree Krishna Hospital in Karamsad has been awarded the platinum badge for NABH digital health standards accreditation. This accreditation highlights the hospital’s commitment to integrating advanced digital technologies into its healthcare services, thereby enhancing patient care, operational efficiency and overall quality standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Monica Gupta, associate dean of clinical excellence and accreditation, highlighted Shree Krishna Hospital’s remarkable journey towards excellence, which began in 2008 with the accreditation of its central diagnostic laboratory. This achievement was followed by accreditation of the blood bank, radio diagnosis centre and nursing excellence, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and quality care.

Dr Gupta said that the hospital has been a leader in digital healthcare since 2016, implementing a comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) system for all patient care activities. This commitment extends beyond digital efficiency, promoting environmental sustainability by reducing paper dependence. The hospital’s indigenously developed software stands out for its user centric design. Collaborating with clinicians and nurses, the hospital ensured that the EHR system catered to their specific needs while adhering to the latest healthcare standards and local contexts. Notably, the nursing module received recognition from FICCI for service excellence in 2019. Shree Krishna Hospital’s pro-digital approach proved invaluable during the Covid -19 pandemic. The EHR system’s adaptability facilitated the development of crucial modules for virtual rounds, patient care dashboards, and digital communication with families. This innovation garnered recognition from the Economic Times healthcare awards for excellence in Covid management in 2021.

Dr. Gupta added that Shree Krishna Hospital continues to lead the forefront of healthcare innovation and quality management.
