NEW DELHI: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has sought assistance from Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to deal with the menace caused by drugs in the state. He has also asked for cooperation from neighbouring states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan to make sure smugglers and peddlers are identified and apprehended in a timely manner. In a letter to the union minister, Singh wrote that the central government must assist Punjab in its endeavour to fight the threat posed by drugs.
