Calling BJP’s recent victory in four states and it touching the milestone of 100 seats in Rajya Sabha as additional responsibilities to serve the people, PM Narendra Modi exhorted party workers to immerse themselves in the service of humanity and work for the nation on mission mode.

“This year’s foundation day has become very important due to three reasons. First, we are celebrating 75 years of independence. Second, (due to) the rapidly changing global situation, new opportunities are coming up for India continuously. Third, BJP’s double engine goverment came to power once again in four states recently,” he said and added, “After three decades a party has touched the mark of 100 members in Rajya Sabha.”

Hitting out at family-dominated parties once again, Modi asserted that BJP stands for “Rashtra bhakti” and its rivals for “Parivar bhakti” but people have gradually realised that dynastic parties are the “biggest enemies” of democracy. “When these parties are active nationally or come to power in states, members of some families dominate from local bodies to Parliament. BJP has challenged them and made it an electoral issue. ”

Although he didn’t take any party’s name, his reference was apparently to the Congress dominated by the Gandhi-Nehru family and its allies like DMK, Shiv Sena, NCP, JMM and Samajwadi Party. Addressing BJP workers on the party’s 42nd foundation day via video conference, the PM attributed the party’s success to the growing support from all sections even as he hailed women for being the “architect” of the party’s recent successes.
