Martyr Lance Naik Harpreet Singh paid felicitous tribute

Ajnala: Lance Naik Harpreet Singh of the Eighth Sikh Regiment, who lost his life combating militants in the Uri Sector of jammu and Kashmir, was given a respectful and befitting send off at his native village of Abbusaid. His father lit the pyre as jawans from the army reversed arms in respect and honour to the departed. The entire village turned up to pay their respects to Lance Naik, whose body was brought wrapped in the Tricolour. The government has promised to give his widow a job and bear all the expenses of educating his daughters. A number of civil and army officials, including Capt Sunil Kumar of the Eighth Sikh Regiment, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Tejinderpal Singh Sandhu, sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Surinder Singh and Ajnala deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Tilak Raj placed wreaths on the body of the brave soldier.
