The postal mail exchange service was resumed between India and Pakistan at the Attari-Wagah border on November 22. Two letter bags were received by the Amritsar postal authorities at the International Border and a mail list was also exchanged from the Indian side. The Pakistan postal authorities had suspended the service as a reaction to abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Following this, the Indian side had stopped taking any bookings of items to be delivered to the neighbouring country. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Amritsar division, Hari Mohan, said, “Two letter bags were received today. We have also revived the booking for postal exchange. The booking service was discontinued after the suspension of mail exchange by Pakistan.”
