JIND (HARYANA): A teen who was missing since last week, was found dead in Jind, Haryana, with 19 severe injuries to her body along with signs of spine-chilling torture. It has been found that the 15 year old victim was raped, strangled, and raped again after she died by two neighbours who have been arrested. Doctors said her liver and lungs had been ruptured and an object had been jammed into her body.
The victim's body was found half naked, and mutilated near a canal about 100 km away from Jind. She was covered just by a torn shit. “The body had many injury marks, the private parts were mutilated, and there were lot of internal injuries. Signs of sexual assault are visible and looks like three-four people were responsible, a hard and blunt thing was inserted inside her, signs of drowning also found,” said SK Dattarwal, doctor at a hospital in Rohtak.
Meanwhile, the body of a 19 year old youth who is suspected as one of the alleged abductors was found in a canal. He was named in the FIR lodged by the girl's family. His body was identified by his parents from a tattoo on his arm. “His body was found from a canal near Jyotisar. Though there were no visible injury marks, the post-mortem will reveal the exact cause of his death,” Kurukshetra SP, Abhishek Garg. When asked about allegations that the police did not act upon complaints of the victim missing, Garg said the SHO concerned had been placed under suspension.
