Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a five-member committee to probe the collapse of a tent during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Midnapore. The action was taken following a directive from party president Amit Shah. Shah has sought a report from the state BJP regarding the accident. The decorators and organisers of the tent have also been taken to task. The Centre has sent security secretary to inspect the incident. A high-level special protection group (SPG) team has also been engaged to probe the matter. As many as 90 people were injured after a portion of a makeshift tent collapsed while PM Modi was addressing a public gathering.
