Many corporate workers experience discomfort and neck pain after prolonged desk sitting, often leading to the development of a neck hump. This change in posture should prompt the adoption of simple yoga poses to alleviate the issue. These poses can stretch and mobilise the neck and spine area effectively. Let's explore these beneficial postures.

Wall extension pose: For this stretch, stand with your legs shoulder-width apart and use a wall for support. Bend forward and place your palms on the wall, stretching as far as possible. Hold the position for 5 seconds, then repeat.

Upward facing pose: The upward-facing pose improves neck hump and muscle flexibility. Lie flat on the ground facing down, extend arms forward, and lift your upper body. Keep legs together and arms apart, touching ground with legs and palms. Look up towards the sky. Repeat 5-10 times.

The cat cow pose: This yoga pose reduces neck hump. Start on hands and knees, lift your body into a mountain shape, face inwards toward the torso. Arch back, look up at the ceiling. Repeat inward-facing motion, then form a 'U' shape facing upwards for one minute.

Hands in the air: Perform the "Arm Stretch" by standing straight, raising arms towards ceiling, and holding for 10 seconds. Repeat several times to improve posture and burn excess neck fat.
