Actor Vikram, receiving acclaim for his role in ‘Thangalaan’, recently discussed his interfaith marriage to Shailaja in an interview. He expressed his happiness about meeting her and highlighted their contrasting personalities.

In the interview, Vikram shared, “I’m Tamil and she’s Malayali, and back then, interfaith relationships were taboo. I’m half Hindu, half Christian, and she’s from a different background. Despite these differences, I’m grateful to have met her. She’s been my constant support and is like an angel. When we first met, I felt an immediate connection, and she later told me she knew instantly that I was the one for her.”

Vikram reflected on their relationship, noting, “We’re very different—she prefers simplicity while I like flashy things. Her family are poets and scholars, while I’m an actor. Initially, she tried to change me, but I made it clear that acting is my first love, and she’s my second. At first, she even hoped my films wouldn’t succeed, but now she’s deeply invested in their success.”
