Since music composer-actor GV Prakash and singer Saindhavi announced their divorce online, they have been targeted by trolls. Despite the couple's request for privacy, people have speculated and spread rumours about the reasons for their separation. After Prakash addressed the trolls, Saindhavi also released a statement to put the rumours to rest.
Saindhavi took to her Instagram to address YouTubers who were spreading fabricated rumours about their divorce for views. She expressed disappointment in seeing numerous YouTube videos creating false stories despite their plea for privacy.
Furthermore, she clarified that their divorce was solely by mutual consent, stating, "Our decision to divorce is not influenced by any external factors, and baselessly tarnishing someone's character is unacceptable. This was a mutual decision made for our own well-being."
Saindhavi disclosed that she and Prakash had been childhood friends, emphasising their enduring bond. She said, “GV Prakash and I have been friends for 24 years since our school days, and we will continue to maintain that friendship moving forward.”
