Prabhudeva marks 36 years in the acting industry this year. Although he appeared as a dancer in films from the late '80s, his debut as a leading actor came in the Tamil film ‘Indhu’ in 1994. Now a renowned choreographer, actor, and director, he continues to make an impact, with his latest role in Vijay’s upcoming action thriller ‘The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT)’.

Reflecting on his career, he said, “It’s been 36 years since I entered the film industry. Before I began acting, I worked as a choreographer for about six years, which was also a significant period for me. I became an actor by chance; my dancing skills led to an opportunity to act.”

Discussing the ‘ABCD’ franchise, he said, “A new generation of Hindi-speaking audiences got to know me through ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’ (2013). It was challenging because I was dancing alongside much younger, internationally trained performers while I had a more local background. I’d dance for 2-3 minutes and get exhausted, while they could dance for 4-5 hours non-stop. I joked with director Remo D’Souza, saying, ‘Please be mindful; I’m as old as you!’”

Reflecting on his experience with the ‘GOAT’ cast, he said, “It was fantastic to work with Vijay again, but it was my first time collaborating with Prashanth, and we quickly bonded like brothers. We had a lot of fun on set, with Prashanth bringing a lot of joy and energy. I couldn't help but wonder why we hadn’t worked together before.”
