Ace actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan is raring to watch “Gour Hari Dastaan- The Freedom File,” an upcoming biopic on Oriya freedom fighter Gour Haridas who had fought bureaucracy for recognition. A source said, “When Kamal heard about the film being featured around a man whose struggle was worth telling a story, he was intrigued to see it. More so, because it is directed by National Award winning filmmaker Ananth Mahadevan, who recently worked with the former in the forthcoming Tamil film Papanasam'.” “He had seen my earlier biopic 'Mee Sindhutai Sapkal' and loved it. So when he heard about the irony of the last of our freedom fighters being made to run from pillar to post to establish his identity, the historian in him went back to his own lineage where freedom fighters had spent their lives for the nation. He immediately expressed desire to watch the film and even offered to upload it at his own home theatre,” Mahadevan said. The film features Vinay Pathak as the freedom fighter and Konkona Sen Sharma as his wife and also features Ranvir Shorey and Divya Dutta.
