Actor/filmmaker Kamal Hassan starrer “Papanasam” is scheduled to hit the screens on July 17 this year. The movie is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam hit “Drishyam” that cast Mohan Lal in the lead. "Since July 17 happens to be Ramzan holiday weekend, the makers felt it would be appropriate time to release the film. The audio launch is expected to happen in the second or third week of June," a source said. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, “Papanasam” is about a father's plight to save his family. The Bollywood version of the movie that stars Ajay Devgn and directed by Nishikanth Kamat, also named “Drishyam” and is set to release two weeks after its release.
