Anticipation is mounting among fans for Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi dystopian film, "Kalki 2898 AD," starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in key roles. The film's makers have now revealed the first look of Amitabh Bachchan's character, signalling a major milestone toward the highly anticipated release of this year's biggest Indian film.
The 21-second teaser commences with Bachchan, adorned in earthy attire, seated within a cave, engrossed in prayer before a Shiva linga. Against a backdrop of serene music, a child's voice asking, "Can you not die? Are you divine? Who are you?"
As tension builds, Bachchan’s deep voice asserts, “Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama,” he declares firmly.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bachchan wrote, “It’s been an experience for me like no other. The mind to think of such a product, the execution, the exposure to modern technology and above all the company of colleagues with stratospheric Super star presence.”
