Kollywood actor Silambarasan took to social media to announce the release of his movie “Vaalu,” which has been on hold since quite some time now. He said “#Vaalu court case has been cleared today... Thanks to almighty :) official release date soon... Thanks for the prayers and love.” Producers of “Vaalu” went through a patch of trouble with the movie as they got involved in a legal battle with another group that claimed to own the rights to use the title, and later cinematographer Shakthi left the project and issued legal action claiming he wasn't given credits on the film posters.Simbu has had it rough in the past few years. His last movie “Podaa Podi” was released in 2012, and he has only played cameos in different films like “Inga Enna Solludhu” and the recent, “Kaaka Muttai.” “Vaalu” stars actress Hansika Motwani opposite Simbu.
