Tamil superstar Rajinikanth asked fans to refrain from falling at his feet, on the third day of his six-day interaction with the people at Raghavendra Marriage Hall, in Chennai. The actor met thousands of fans from Madurai, Virudhnagar, Namakkal and Salem districts. “One should only fall at the feet of God, mother and father. Do not fall at the feet of someone just because he has got wealth, fame, and power,” he said to his fans,

In a five minute address, he said, “When I was about 16 years old, I went to a 100th celebration event of a Rajkumar-starrer in Bangalore. When I say Rajkumar for the first time, I was filled with awe. Only scenes from his films were playing on my mind. I went and touched him. So, I can understand your enthusiasm.” He also spoke about one of his experiences in Madurai. “The city is known for its valour,” Rajini said. “In 1976, when I visited Madurai Meenakshi Temple, the priest asked for my nakshathram to offer to the deity. I did not know my birth date, or any thing back then. Actress Sachu was there and she told the priest that my nakshathram was that of Perumal (Lord Vishnu) himself and asked to offer prayers in the name of the deity.”
