Influencer 'The Mermaid Scales' attends Barbie premiere in LA

Krutika, better-known by her social media handle @themermaidscales, was the sole Indian influencer present at the recent Barbie premiere in Los Angeles, California. She creates humorous content and has more than 7 million followers on social media. The Mumbai-based content creator shared a few reels on her social media handle related to the 'Barbie' movie.
The 'Barbie' premiere was held on July 9 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, and a lot of famous people were in attendance. Barbie is directed by Greta Gerwig and stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling as leads.
The premiere was a star-studded event. Billie Elish, Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Ava Max and many more celebrities attended it. According to the media, Krutika mentioned that she was excited to be the sole representative of her country at the event. She said, "I grew up watching Barbie movies and found them magical. As an adult, getting to relive that experience at a global event felt amazing and very special."
The 24-year-old, who is now a full-time content creator, never set out to become Insta famous. “It happened organically. I don’t even know how this happened. I woke up one day and a video had done well. People were commenting, ‘We love you and your videos’,” she shares.
