‘Grammy nomination feels reassuring’, says Varijashree Venugopal

Bengaluru-based vocalist, flautist, and composer Varijashree Venugopal has been nominated for her first Grammy. "The news is still sinking in," she says with excitement.

“The Grammys are one of the most significant recognitions for any artist. It feels like the community is affirming that we’re on the right path,” Varijashree says. “There’s more to come, but this moment is something I will cherish forever.”

Varijashree is featured alongside Anoushka Shankar on Jacob Collier’s song "A Rock Somewhere," which has been nominated in the Global Music Performance category.

Varijashree expresses that her parents, family, and friends are overjoyed by the nomination, and their unwavering support has been a key driver in her success. "They always wish for the best in my journey. Their belief and trust fuel me, helping me grow," she says.

Apart from them, Chandrika Tandon, Ricky Kej, Noshir Mody, and Radhika Vekaria are also nominated for the Grammays.
