Director Vikramaditya Motwane made a surprising revelation about his film "AK vs AK," starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap. Originally, the film's script was written with Aamir Khan in mind. Motwane also mentioned that Saif Ali Khan was approached but declined the role.

Speaking to The Comment Section, Motwane explained the casting challenges the project faced, stating, "It was always AK vs AK, so we needed an actor who fit the concept. The idea originated in 2014 from Avinash Sampath, the co-writer, and we were all enthusiastic. He pitched it as AK vs AK, initially meant to feature Anurag Kashyap against Aamir Khan, but I immediately felt Aamir wouldn't do it, so we moved on."

"Then we discussed which AKs we could approach. Eventually, the AK idea was dropped, and we approached Saif for the role, but he declined. Later, we shot with Shahid in Mumbai for the film, which was a great experience. I wish that version had stayed," he added.

In the same interview, the director also disclosed that Anurag Kashyap suggested Anil Kapoor's name.

His next project stars Ananya Panday in a cyber thriller tentatively titled "Control." The film unfolds entirely on a computer screen, categorised as a "screen life thriller." The director praised Ananya's performance, emphasising her perfect fit for the role of an influencer. The story delves into AI and futuristic themes, presenting a cool and engaging narrative akin to films like "Searching" and "Missing."
